Heavyweight Champion Lineage on ESPN

Boxing's Heavyweight Championship Lineage - ESPN

This is a pretty neat little piece that they threw up on their website.

Whoever it was that once was arguing that old timers never threw combinations of punches should check out the later half of the footage for Corbett - I had never seen it before.

Gee! Where's the history of the heavyweight MMA championship? Oh, that's right. They don't have any.

Nice to see boxing get some recognition from the media! Despite my dislike of Fury, he did seem to attract quite a bit of media attention for his fight in the USA. Curious to see what kind of media hype the Stiverne-Aurreola fight gets this week.

Thanks for the link.

And this coming from the guy that demands MMA discussions cease?

Why are you so bitter? I don't bother talking about sports I hate.

Boxing could actually learn a lot from MMA.

And MMA could learn a lot from boxing as a cautionary tale.

Those are some great videos

Jack Dempsey holding his opponent behind the head and clubbing him repeatedly with the left hand

The sport has changed

The older footage was great! I had seen alot of it before but the Corbett material was all new to me. Very cool.
