FaceGen pictures very dark on Mac
I just switched over to a Mac and noticed that all of the FaceGen pictures are very dark. Any other Mac users notice this or know how to fix? If I can, I will post a comparison from my PC. Here's an example from the Mac:

If I remember correctly, the graphics weren't all that great in OOTP1

Haven't quite gotten the hang of screenshots on osx, but still, the faces, especially of darker-skinned players are much poorer contrast on mac than pc.

Have you tried zooming out? Looks to me like you're in too close.

A possible explanation is that Macs and PCs used to have different gamma settings, which caused havoc for photographers and graphic designers working on one platform or the other. This changed in Snow Leopard (10.6), but if you had an older version installed previous, maybe you have an old color profile left over from that. You could try calibrating the profile in the Displays control panel. (I only play on a Mac so I never noticed this problem before.)
However, it should also be noted that the image itself can also have a color profile of its own, so even if you fix this, the software might not necessarily cooperate (i.e., there might be a bug). |
