Gold Gloves for Pitchers

Has anyone else experienced this? I've played 23 seasons of my league and have yet to see a pitcher win multiple gold glove awards. Every other position has had a player win the award more than once. Including a 1B who won the award 11 times in his career. Is it just a fluke from my league (46 possible chances with two sub leagues) or a potential bug?

Granted the majority of these seasons were played in v13, so it may no longer be an issue. Just curious if others have seen this happen as well.

Assuming no injuries, there are 15 position players eligible for a GG per position, but 75 pitchers (15*5=75). The odds of one pitcher winning more than one, without the reputation factor from real life, are just that much lower.

Despite pitching 18 years in this league, Maddux never even won a GG. Now I know there is something wrong.

I would think in the sample size there would be at least one repeater which is why I questioned. May sim a few seasons as a test to see if I ever do get someone to win more than once.

I'm looking at the 60-year history of my league. Most of the time it seems to be that a pitcher wins it once, but there are like 6 multiple winners (including Christy Mathewson 4 times as the leader).

All other positions there are many more multiple winners including four guys who won it at least 10 times (Honus Wagner 15 times in 21 seasons).

So I would say there is something to it. Don't know if that translates to real life.
