Seasons Without Awards?

I suspect this is not possible, but can I set up a league in which no awards are given, at least not right away? I am simming a league starting in the 1800s that does not give out MVPs, Cy Youngs, Gold Gloves and the like in the beginning, just like the real major leagues did not. The awards come later in the history. Any way I can put a stop to that in the early years?

I may be wrong, but I don't think that's possible.

You should suggest that for OOTP15, it makes plenty of sense and would be easy to make a checkbox option.

OK, thanks. It does make sense, but I won't be able to keep mention of it out of my almanac of the league I want to launch, since the awards DNA is built deep into the game's firmware.

I would like this option also especially since it seems silly to have a newcomer of the year award in a new league where everyone is a newbie. But that is just a nit picky thing really. Mostly I'd like the option to get rid of the weekly awards.
