moving computer--need help please

I have a large feeder league that I have completed about 15 seasons in and would like to transfer it to a new computer. I have it backed up on an external hard drive. Would somebody be able to give me "detailed" instructions on how I would go about transferring this to the new computer so I don't have to start over. Thanks in advance.

Here's what I think...

You get two licenses with each purchase of the game... So you could use your second install/license if you haven't used it already... If you have then un-license the game on your old computer but don't uninstall it just yet... I would make a copy of your saved game/league file file that you want to move to the new computer and zip it... The file is located in your Saved Games folder under whatever name you saved your league under for example "1947 MLB.lg"

You could then install the game on your new computer and license the new install... Then un-zip your league file into the saved games folder on the new computer... When you start the game you should be able to click on Load Game and you league file should show up in the list...

You may wait for some others to chime in to see if the have some different ideas for you...

When I read the title of the thread I assumed you needed someone to come over and physically help you move your computer

Yes, but you're limited to 2-team leagues with no minors, no saved history, no facegen, no scouting, and it takes about 45 minutes to sim a single game.

Other than that, works great.

I have the same situation as the OP. I am into 2040 on my game and would hate to lose it.

Is it really that simple? My save game file is very small. Clicked on it on this computer to see if it works from the save game file ( it does).

Is there anything else that needs to be copied / saved / backed up?
