Real life managers and coaches for historical leagues

Hi all,

In playing a 1960s league, I have occasionally been able to pick up a coach or manager I recognize, but the list of "available personnel" is always relatively small and very few, and often none of those available ever played MLB in the United States or managed or coached there.

So while it is nice to have the international flavor up to a point, to have overwhelmingly latino names - whom I assume are from Mexican and Latin American leagues - in the early 1960s takes a bit away from the historical reality, plus since most of them just register as "inexperienced" and are unknown to me, I have no real way to evaluate them.

Is there any way that we can either create manager candidates or coaching candidates or use a pool of retired players from the league and hire those as coaches (the lack of this is surprisingly missing it seems - no way to call up a former pitcher to be pitching coach or whatever, odd)?

Thanks.

Wow, you did a lot of work for all of us. Thanks !

Now, if there were a way to change managers' names we would have the realism plus the feel of realism.
