When does the game start?

Since OOTP 16 is coming out before opening day will the game start at Spring Training, or the day before the regular season like it has before?

It's right before the season starts. I can't remember the exact date, but it is not at the start of spring training.

That's why, if I'm not mistaken, there are no opening day rosters until a little later after the game releases. Can't have opening day rosters without opening day.

It was part of the agreement with MLB, whatever rosters we set for opening day in game, the MLB teams are required to abide by them. So you're incorrect, our rosters are perfectly correct opening day rosters, but the MLB teams may cheat and use different rosters.

There should be some sort of Congressional inquiry into this!

Also, since they're required to abide by them, how about helpin a buddy out and adding him to the Twins?

Is there a way to start 2-3 weeks before the opening day as I want to get my staff set and minor leagues set before my mlb season starts for my pension team? I remember I was able to do it in oootp 15 but can't remember if it was under QuickStart or no

I always wondered why the game does not start before spring training so we can play spring training out the first year? Also, what about when playing out Japanease baseball. Doesn't the first Nippon game happen on 3/27? I would love to request that this year the game starts on Sunday 3/1 to give us a chance to play out spring training as well as starting all leagues on time. I still think this would be between all leagues starting and beginning (Austrailian league ends early Feb). Can this be implemented in the new version?

Thanks

Just went and started a new game in 15 to see how the schedule with Nippon games worked but because there was the MLB oversees series the game started early enough. I think it is very important that OOTP 16 recognizes this and starts earlier then normal to make sure all games can be played out in all leagues as intended.

The game starts before the 27th, so the *** starts at the correct date.

OOTP does reconize that...OOTP starts Sat. March 21 so all teams start their opening day as in RL. unless I screwed up.
