Can't download the game

I didn't know where to post but my game won't fully download for some reason...
I have had no problemn in the past with 14 and 15 but now 16 isn't working... Anyone know where to start solving this issue? It says

Error
Archive integrity check failed. The setup file is not complete due to an incomplete download or corrupted file.

Thanks for any help offered.

You could google for a freeware download manager that allows resumed downloading.

This. The file is big enough that it isn't unusual to get a glitch in the download,.

I did that but I'm still having trouble how to get this to download the actual game for me. So frustrating!

The executable file OOTPsetup.exe has already been downloaded. Now you need to install it.

Show a screenshot of what you are doing. We are trying to help.

This is what I have up. I have no idea where to go from this point.

We need to start at the beginning. You don't have the installer file ootp16setup.exe.

In the email you received after buying the game there is a link that will allow you to download a file ootp16setup.exe. Confirm for me that you did buy and that you do have the download link and a license code.

Click on that link, download the file. Make sure you know what folder it is in.

Once it is downloaded click or double click on ootp16setup.exe and follow instructions.

We can walk you through the rest once you get the game installed.

I have the email with the serial number and the link. I also have an order number. I clicked the link last night and this is where it all started. I will click link again and proceed and offer the information as I type this.

This is the same thing I got last night. After a few minutes is when my error message will appear. I will take picture and post as soon as I receive it.

It appears that you have 8 versions of the downloaded installer. No need to re-download any more. Just find one that shows 939MB and use it to install.

The one tht downloaded the most only went to 639 MB. I have no clue what has happened or what to do from this point. Any other year it downloaded and I was playing right away.

Sorry for all the contrary directions but the goalposts keep moving. Now you have to do something different.

Delete all 8 or 9 versions of the ootp16setup.exe file. Not recycle bin but full delete. Delete any other installer files that you may have renamed.
Clear your browser cache completely. Make sure you clear cached images and files or it might not work.
Re-download the installer. If you can save it to another folder easily do so.
Now try to install.

RichW, the issue he is having is that everytime he has tried to download the installer the download has been interrupted and the download corrupted. That is why people, including myself recommended Free Download Manager because it resumes a download if it is interrupted.

Birdland24:

1) in your email from OOTP with the download link 'rightclick' on the link and choose 'copy link location'

2) now open 'Free Download Manager' and click cross in a blue circle in the upper left hand corner of 'Free Download Manager' (this will allow you to add the download)

3) A window titled 'add download' should pop up.

edit: The link you copied from your email MAY be autofilled in the "URL:" space, if so skip step 4 if all that is there is 'http:/" then do step 4

4) in the white space after the "URL:" at the top right click and "Paste" the link you copied from your email

5) click "OK" at bottom right and the the download should start.

6) once it is done you can "double click" on the ootp installer to install the game.
