Downloading Issue

I purchased the game, I've got a license code, and the download link.

Once I click on the download link, it begins to download, and finishes in a few minuets.

The OOTP download box pops up with the "agree check this box"

I agree and click next. I click next again...and then it all just disappears.

I cant find anything in my folders at all where it downloaded.

I've done this like 5 or 6 times.

Can anyone help, please?

On the second time and others, does it say the file's already there and do you wish to overwrite it? Oh, and where are you downloading this from, the webstore?

It has never said the file is there, or anything about overwriting it.

I'm downloading it from the link via the email I was sent from purchasing it. I've also tried it from the OOTP website.

So when you click the link, does a download automatically start? I'm hoping you'd have a tab selection to Save As, then you can control where it goes. OTOH, if you do a search for files, OOTPsetup*.* does it return any locations?

The download automatically starts....and completes.

I've used the search engine, no results for anything with OOTP..

The installation process just disappears after the box where it gives you 2 options

1. To install the recommended way
2. Install manually

I have the box checked for the recommended way, then once I click next, it goes away and nothing else pops up.

Use a file explorer to see if the installer file is in you download folder or where ever you save them. Usually the mile management system adds a number as in ootp16setup(1).exe if you have multiples.

Could you have space issues? Try manual option but point to the same folder and you should get a message about space.

I have the OOTP setup window open now.

I have proceeded to the box where it allows me to

1. default installation (recommended)
2. Install OOTP to a user defined folder

I've been checking the default installation, but after that it all disappears.

I also just tried to do it via manual installation, but it says I don't have enough space, would I like to proceed anyway?

Could this be the issue making it all shut down and disappear?

I've downloaded previous version of OOTP in the past without issue.

Yes the space issue is real. Can you free up some space using an external HDD.

Perhaps I can delete a few meaningless programs, that might free up some space.

Thanks for the help.

What type of computer?
Do you have more than one drive letter ie C:\ and D:\ on it.
Right click on C:\. Choose properties and you should see something like the screenshot below.

Compare free space with what the OOTP installer is telling you.

An external HDD is something you plug into a usb port so you can copy stuff to it. If you have little space left on your computer it might be prudent to go to Best Buy and buy an external HDD. They are very low cost these days.

As your computer HDD fills up performance will suffer.

Turns out all I had to do was delete the program "Steam".... that freed up enough space.

Thanks
