Interpreting Game Log Codes

I have been playing OOTP since at least v6, but I've never asked the question of how to interpret game log codes. As an example, in my 1954 season Hank Aaron hit a double (and I believe drove in at least 1 run). In the Game Log it was coded as DOUBLE (Flyball, 89XD). What does that mean, specifically the 89XD?

Thanks!

It's where on the field the ball was hit. OOTP uses Retrosheet's Hit Location Diagram. In your example, the ball was a double to very deep (XD) right-center field (between Fielder 8 and Fielder 9).
