I love Game sounds and text to speech!
Today I turned on game sounds and text to speech. I have to say this is probably one of the coolest things I have found (have not bought the game since 13 so not sure how long this feature has been around, might just be new to me)
It still needs a little polish as I have heard other speech to text programs that are clearer but I still love the idea of a radio-eque game. Personally I commute an hour each way to work and every afternoon I listen to a game on the radio. I am not sure how far the guys plan on taking this feature in the future but I must say I am in love with this and the idea that they could add mid inning recaps or talk a little more about the players, etc.. has me really excited. While playing a game
go to options under the play by play options game sound and change it to Game Sound + text to speech EDIT: Also changing the PBP speed to very slow helps with the read speed of the text to speech. Last edited by tc66tc; 04-08-2015 at 11:34 AM. |

I played an excellent simulation game in the 90's called Miller Baseball which had Ernie Harwell reading the text play by play of games. It was amazing and truly felt like listening to a radio broadcast. If they could wrangle a well known announcer for this feature it would be awesome.
