Do You Have These Two Sound Issues With OOTP 16?

When playing games with sound on, I ran into these two issues:
There is annoying "beep", at the end of one of the sound files. Playing with earphones on, it sounds ear-peircing. The file in question is located in the "sounds" folder, named "intro3". I suppose one could edit the end of the file, cutting off the last second. I just made a copy of "intro2", renamed it to "intro3", and called it good. ( I just noticed OOTP 14 and OOTP 15 have the same issue).
When playing out games, either manual or AI control, sound on, the game will eventually stop with Windows telling me there is a sound file error. I have to manually clear off the Windows error box that pops up for the game to continue, otherwise it stays stuck there. The file causing the error is named "rally9". If I try to play it with Windows media player, it errors out, unplayable. (Yes, I have any and all codecs one could need?). So again, for a quick fix, I just copied a different rally file, renamed it "rally9", and called it good.
The intro3 error is probably there no matter what Windows OS is used, but the rally9 file has me stumped. Is the file corrupt?
Hope this helps anyone with the same issues.
Edit: I just played the rally9 file on Linux .. it played fine.

Yes, there is an annoying beep at the end of intro3.wav. My rally9.wav plays OK in WMP, though. Maybe post this in the Bug Report Thread? Meanwhile, I like your workaround of copying a good file and renaming it for the bad one.

The beep is there to signify the end of the track for computer programs. You're supposed to cut it out. My guess is they missed it.

As for the rally9 track it works for me.

I've heard that beep on this track for many years and many versions of this game.

I've often wondered if they are still paying off Billy Squier and Ozzy Osbourne. Same two clips for a decade.
