33 gs ... 56 ip?

So for reasons that elude me, the Marlins keep yanking Jose Fernandez after 2 innings. His stamina is fine (163 in editor), this isn't happening with anyone else ... Any clues?

I'd swear I've seen this issue discussed before, with the solution posted, but I'm turning up blank on what it was. If you search the forum archives though, you may find something.

Yeah, an obvious one. In his Game Strategy settings, is he restricted in some way?

I also remember there used to be some sort of all star game bug that cause something like this. I forgot the reasoning behind it though.

Edit: I'm pretty sure this bug was fixed a couple versions ago, but try following these instructions:

Quote:
This happened in OOTP14, too--basically, if a SP is used out of the bullpen in the All-Star Game, sometimes the game thinks he is now a MR and will only use him for 3.1 innings or so in his future starts. What you need to do is remove the pitched from your starting rotation by dragging him into the bullpen, then put him back in the rotation. The way to see what's happened is to look at the first Report--if you see him listed as a SP and in the bullpen, the All-Star Game messed him up.
found in this thread.

edit 2: but then again, if Fernandez's only all star appearance was in 2011, this probably wont work.

Check other starters league wide.

If it's like all of them the problem is a goofy modifier for starting pitcher in the league modifier page
Happened to me once. I wanted .982 accidentally put in .298 and got results like you are showing

when i put pitch counts on relievers they only pitched 1 out. that was patch 3, maybe? when i turned that off i noticed relievers were used better than in ootp '15, so it wasn't a problem.

i've used 100-120 pitch counts on starters and did not have a problem with SP. just trying to throw information out there, if you used lower pitch counts for any reason.

Force role as RP? Otherwise ASG comment makes sense.

This sticks out to me, too. Fix that and see what happens before you do anything else.

No, he's the only one.

I'm in the offseason, and he just signed with a new team, so can't tell if it was a strategy setting; we'll see what happens with his new team.

Yep, it appears it was something in the strategy settings. Just turned in a normal season for someone else.
