Waiver Claim

Quick questions guys, when you look to claim a player off waivers, if you receive the player are you responsible for that claimed player's full contractual obligations? For example, in my franchise I am in the year 2017, the Mets have placed David Wright on waivers. Wright's contract for the season is 20,000,000, followed by four more years of salary for a total of $67 million. If I were to claim this player, would I be responsible for nearly $87 million?
