Why do players hate going to Winter League?

I created an affiliated winter league and all the players get really angry when I send them there. Whats up with that?

Maybe it's cold. Remember ST was cold before Markus fixed it.

This would be my guess. On the drop down menu where you set a league's level Winter League is below every single other minor league level.

alot of real life players hate it, too. maybe they just have it randomly in the game or based on personality?

i bet age and ability is a factor, too.

Gonna third this comment. If you put, say, a hot AA rising star in a winter ball league, he's gonna be #$%# at you for "demoting" him. Game isn't set up yet to mimic winter league ball.

Yes, they absolutely take it as a demotion. Winter leagues in OOTP are not the same as the ones in Latin America in real life that are unaffiliated.

Can morale/emotions be turned off? I don't like hurting OOTP player's feelings....

Yes, the player morale system can be disabled in the game settings on the Players & Facegen tab.
