Creating a player - Player Attributes
Suppose i would like to tailor make custom players. I'm thinking about looking at players such as Gretzky for example, to be able to know how powerful a certain number on different attributes really are. But i feel that is going to be really labor intensive becouse of the great number of attributes and also to judge if the attributes really are straight on or exponential. Also, when a player is say 18 years old, how in the world can i put his atrributes at the right levels to know how high they will be at his peak?
And another thing, is the "Offensive potential" and "Defensive potential" number fixed at the players peak value or does this number change when a player gets past his prime? |

The easiest way to get a feel for where players should be at a certainty n age would be to have a look through the prospects from the last couple of drafts, and/or start a historical game and check the younger players there, e.g. Gretzky in 1979 or so.
The skill ratings are straight-line up to 20, but after that the steps between them grow a little larger - 20 to 21 is a bigger distance than 19 to 20, for example. The offensive and defensive potential numbers don't change, but there's no guarantee the player will reach them, and they're also soft caps - it's possible, but unlikely, for a player to exceed them. |

Yea I love playing around with the attributes to. I have tried making a player like Gretzky but I find its hard to get the right goal to assist ratio without doing something drastic like making him suck at shooting.
