Immaculate innings
Something I hadn't seen before in OOTP: an opposing pitcher threw nine pitches for three strikeouts in an inning. No note was made of this, it didn't go out as league news, wasn't noted on the game log...
Immaculate innings are pretty rare in baseball, and if hitting for the cycle is a notable accomplishment, it seems like striking out three batters on nine pitches should be as well. |

Agreed that should have been noted

Very cool. It should be recorded. It's happened 80 times in history. Interesting split 51 NL and 29 AL, with no apparent connection to the DH; ie before 1973 it was 17/8 NL/AL. Could be some confirmation of the NL as a fastball league though.

Has anyone (either in real life or in OOTP) had anyone go more than 3 batters striking out each on 3 pitches (eg 4Ks on 12 pitches)?

And only 1 foul ball in those 9 pitches. Very impressive.
