Best Career Team?

I'm hoping someone can help me understand the general settings option called best career team.

I did a search on the forums, but was unable to find anything about it.

My question is what criteria is used to determine a player's best career team.

Is it stats accumulated with a certain team?
Is team wins a factor or winning a championship?
Is it a personality setting that dictates this selection?

I found this option when i was in the process of customizing my player filter view. See screen shot below.

I was wondering the same thing. I noticed in my game (2015 MLB Standard Game) that Harmon Killebrew's listed best career team was the Washington Senators, and Reggie Jackson's is listed as the Kansas City Athletics. Both players stuck with the franchise, however they clearly didn't have their best years with the two listed cities.

I'm sure it will make sense when someone offers the reason behind it. Just another potential neat feature to help me (offline) determine which team a player will select when they are voted to the Hall of Fame. Any reasons to help the immersion is a good thing for me.
