Facegen issues/question

So..im admittedly a moron when it comes to add ons. I read that this version has real historical player facegens when you start a game. I started a 1989 historical to see how it looked and noticed 2 things:
1) the players faces are not the real players. Candy Maldonado, in my game, is a white dude with an epic 'stache.
2) the FA's are all faceless.

How do i get real player facegens to show up in the game for all games going fwd?

in Add-Ons Central - there are two historical face packs available. All you need do is download, install. They are actual photos of most of the players. the one is use is "complete historical and modern photo face pack". Lots of good stuff in add ons central. the guys who create them need more credit. they do amazing work!!

if all the add-ons don't show up, you may need to add the other mods server. Here's a link to how to do that:

Question. How different are the MLB facegens that come with 17 vs the facegens that have been created for previous versions? When i converted from 15 to 16 all i did was cut and paste my FG folder to 16. If I cut and paste the 17 FG players to 16 FG folder then the whole folder to 17 would that be a good way to go?

Rather than start a new thread I thought I'd just add my question here.

So, straight out the box (as it were) load up a new game and a hefty percentage of the players are just silhouettes. Have I inadvertently tweaked something in settings? I guess I could ask it to regen all players but seeing that takes longer than downloading the entire game I was wondering if there is a quicker option to see faces on all players?

The MLB facegens that come with the game are awesome, better than the previous ones, much more detail (they're larger .fg files). What I suggest doing is cut/paste from 16, but then when it gets to A.J. Ellis (first guy in the 17 facegens), it will ask if you wish to overwrite. Like Nancy Reagan said: "Just say no.", in fact say "No to all".
