Prospect Lists include too many Rookie Leaguers
General problem in OOTP 17: The teams' prospects lists are loaded with rookie league players, which is quite unrealistic. In real life top prospects have already shown their qualities in at least A+ or higher leagues.
Cause of the problem seems to be the inflated potential ratings of the draft pool and rookie league players. This is a change from previous ootp editions and is intended to simulate 'the hype' surrounding drafted players. An unintended consequence is the overestimation of these players on the various prospect lists. Therefore a tweak is neccessary to put less weight on potential ratings and more on level of minors and/or stats achieved at the higher minors. |

I could be an exception, but I haven't noticed this being a problem at all. My league top prospects lists yearly consist of many AAA, AA, and A players. Only a small majority are Rookie leaguers.
Just my experiences though. |

It's especially prelevant among pitching prospects : Of the top 20 OOTP pitching prospects 13 are from rookie leagues, 1 from AAA, 2 from AA, 2 from A, and 2 from Short A.
