Major roster problem

I started a historical league year 1940.
I used Real minor leagues
I made absolutely ZERO changes to the game, under league settings.
Automatically import historical rookies was checked.
At the end of the first year the historical rookies were added to my team.
The problem, it also added over 20 random players from all era's to each team.
Mike Trout was put on the 1941 Pittsburgh Pirates.

Is it the real minor league system that is causing this problem?
This is ruining the game for me.

Drafting got broke with the last version. No draft works fine. Which is this?
