Hitter Types for Hitting Coaches
Hitting coaches tend to have a better relationship with certain kinds of hitters, contact, power, etc. But how do we know what kinds of hitters our hitters are? I mean, sure, I get the difference between a contact and power hitter. But a lot of hitters are both power hitters *and* have good eye ratings. So which type of hitting coach would be best? Should we just assume whichever is the highest rating?

If you go to the "Relationships" tab of the coach you can see which players he will have a greater influence on.

It will show you their relationship with players on your major league roster even if they're not on your team. For minor league players I don't think there's any way to check for sure.

Shouldn't a hitting coach adapt to the hitters he has? It seems unlikely that a real life coach would limit himself by relating better to a type of hitter. They might relate better to certain player personalities but by definition a coach has to have a plan that works throughout the organization not by hitter type.
