Personality ratings

How are these derived? Loyalty, desire to win, greed, etc?

Are they just random each time you start up a MLB game?

Just wondering as I was scrolling through the Mets roster. I happened to notice Wilmer Flores' loyalty as Low. Common now, the dude was CRYING on the field when he thought he'd been traded last year. And who can forget the game winning homer a couple days later when he got to stay? Tapping the logo on the way to home?

If there's one guy whose Loyalty should not be questioned....

Unless something has changed, it's random. Basically for most players most traits would be subjective with no true way to derive the proper rating. Random is really the only fair unbiased way to do it (imo)

If they're random they're pretty darn accurate both to the point would life and to previous versions. Buster Posey and Hunter Pence as leaders, things like that. I'm pretty sure there's some level of non-randomness to it.

It's random. In my game Ty Cobb is a swell guy, born leader, loved by everyone.

But it's definitely not random for each individual game right? I've seen basically the same personality ratings give or take in every mlb game I've started for at least the last 3 versions.

They're not random, in the roster set, as far as I'm aware.

There's a thread (see the sticky) to report roster set issues, and you have a good point, so you might want to report Flores' Loyalty there.
