"Take Me Out" not playing during 7th inn stretch

OOTP17: Playing through Steam on my Windows 7 desktop.
I have PBP and sound enabled. Playing normal speed PBP. Each time: the text says "stand by for Take me out to the Ballgame" (paraphrasing here)....but only once have I heard the song play.
I sit there and wait for it...nothing. FInally I click to get to bottom 7th and move on.
Why did I hear it play once...and then never since, in hundreds of games?
my other BP sounds seem to be functioning...

Curious if this is normal...not having the take me out play more than once in well over a hundred games manually played, with sound options on and running

Yeah, I've noticed it too that it doesn't seem to play, but I haven't gotten around to debugging that issue yet. The in-game sound is a complicated system and there's been more important issues to take care of first.

Much appreciated! I haven't seen any threads about this (besides my own), and thought it was just me. I know my sound card is up to date, and the other sounds work, so... Anyway, I'll keep an eye out if you guys ever do research into this.
