BUNT Baseball Card Templates

BUNT is a digital game created by Topps that is a cross between card collecting and fantasy baseball. The whole premise of the game is to collect the types of cards and players and "play" them to earn points. More points essentially equals more players.

Anyway, with my knowledge of Photoshop increasing, I would like to take on the challenge of duplicating a bunch of BUNT sets for OOTP. Some will not be possible due to effects such as opacity on some layers, but I will do my best with the ones that can be done.

I've attached some examples of what I'll be re-creating. The back of the card is used for BUNT points and is the same for all cards, so I will have to get creative with that, using it for career stats.

So I've been working on the 2013 base and this is where I'm at.. I can't figure out how to get rid of the black line in-between the front and back... Attached is my card so far and the zip of the set.

None yet. Hopefully I will have all day tomorrow to work on these. I figure once I get the back done (the back is the same for all BUNT cards), all I'll have to do is change the background images and player picture location.

We're getting there!

Since there are no real stats on the real cards, there is really nothing to go off of. I'm kind of stuck now but I'll eventually get there.

Unfortunately my design plans haven't worked out the way I wanted them to so it will take me a little longer and the XML file will be a lot larger than most templates.

Everything should look fine though.

EDIT: The reason is because, with my design plans, I have to create a new element line for each different stat, except for the most recent years. If I don't do it this way, then some stats will appear at the very top of the gray and the rest in the colored part. If I do do it this way, then the stats will be at the bottom of the gray and the headers at the top, which looks better. Here is what I have.

Photos are from a test league, the only one I have where players have stats going back for a while.

EDIT: Sorry about the "Sold Out" at the top. In this example it's impossible to remove without making the card look bad. We'll just have to live with it.

On another note, I won't be doing the mystery cards, unless there is demand for them. I'll only be doing the cards that I have interest in. There are new releases in BUNT, such as the Best of Bunt series, that I will also most likely do.

2014 Editor's Choice!

EDIT: Made it so that the game randomly chooses from 5 random backgrounds (images from different MLB stadiums) when creating a card. Changed rarity too.

2013 Gallery Series...

I found that OOTP doesn't handle gradients well, but I still consider this a fine attempt... if you would rather have this without the transparent layer than I will repost.

EDIT: No transparent layer, updated rarity.

Just realized I need to make a couple small edits:

- Update the rarity on the non-base cards (change Common to Rare/Super Rare/Scarce)
- Remove transparent layer on Gallery
- Add more backgrounds on Editor's Choice

All of the above and maybe a couple more templates will probably get done tomorrow.
