Released minor leaguers still in limbo, eligible for playoffs

So there was a bug in a previous version where released minor league players did disappear from the lineup screen but their player profiles still showed them as members of their respective teams (they did not appear among free agents either).

Playoff time is here and I just noticed that these players are listed as playoff eligible. Is there a way to somehow clean the league file from them and make them free agents?

I've never seen this in hundreds maybe a thousand plus seasons. Please post a screen shot showing a released player who is eligible for the playoffs.

It should be easy.

We've had this issue in our on-line league for a number of weeks and thought updating to the latest patch might work. It did not.

Essentially, the GM releases a minor league player but that player stays in limbo and will not appear in the Free Agent listing.

Other than an inordinate amount of commissioner manual moves how do we manage this situation, or better yet, is there a fix?

This is similar to a couple other issues that have been reported, one of which is fixed for OOTP18 (and maybe even in the last patch for 17) and one of which is being looked at now but it doesn't sound exactly the same.

Could you upload your league files so I can get Matt or Markus to take a look at them?

There is no "fix" to get all the players back on a roster, other than finding them all and re-assigning them, or doing an "auto" on every team's minor leagues.

I've got a way to identify all the limbo players from the SQL files dumped from the game - it helps to know which players are in limbo so they can get put back - but it's not very easy to describe.

If your league has many limbo minor leaguers, and you want the full list without "auto"'ing every team's minors, PM me, and I may be able to help.
