Owner Goal fulfilled, but not according to him?

- Owner goal - re-sign a player.
- I did, in fact re-sign said player to a two year extension (trust me, that's his extension, didn't want to load a giant jpg).
- Player was injured and sent to DL (not the 60).
- And now is on a rehab assignment (as seen with red cross at AAA).

Owner's goal states "left team"!

I am posting this here in case it is a bug that the game doesn't recognize this, as the player is not on the roster. NOT entirely sure if this recently occurred and the owner previously did recognize I had signed him or not.

And, not sure if this will change once player comes off rehab and is placed back on roster. But even then, I am currently at my mid-year review and he's pissed the guy left the team!

Hope this helps???

Just a follow-up.

Player has completed DL and Rehab and is now back on the ML squad. Message now... So I think this is a minor bug?

Yeah, it's probably because he was injured, but I'm wondering, did he also hit free agency and you resigned him then or did you resign him before FA hit?

I'm thinking that the use of the word "extension" means that he signed the player to a contract extension before he could file for free agency, and that because the player wasn't on the big-league roster the AI treated him like he'd left the team, when in fact he was still in the organization, just rehabbing on a minor league team.

It's totally a bug.

He was signed to an extension, as opposed to hitting free agency. In fact it was done in this season just prior to, or just after, he was injured (if I recall correctly). So he has never really "left the team" he was merely injured.

First time I have ever actually encountered it because it's a rare set of circumstances.
