WBC Players Not Returning to their teams

So I started a new 2017 season, and immediately jumped into the WBC. I've just finished the tournament a few in-game days ago, but I'm finding that the players aren't returning to their respective teams. I'm the GM of the Washington Nationals, but Tanner Roark, Daniel Murphy, Oliver Perez, and the rest of the Nationals players who participated in the WBC haven't returned to my organization. However, when I go to the WBC rosters, they're blank as if all of the players have returned to their teams. Yet when I search for a player, it shows the player as a part of their national team rather than their MLB. For example, it shows Giancarlo Stanton as part of "The United States" rather than the Miami Marlins.

I realize this the WBC and in-game tournaments are new feature to OOTP, so I probably screwed something up, but I was curious if I'm either not being patient enough, or if there's something wrong here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

One other thing I forgot to add was that I wanted better rosters with players like Trout, Kershaw, Shohei Otani, etc. available to their respective nations for the WBC. I found I was able to accomplish this by moving the start date of the WBC back a few days so that when the in-game calendar started, the WBC was in "offseason mode." I'm note sure if that affects anything, but I wanted to include that in case it did.
