The 1st pick in the inaugural draft goes to the Cape Coral Canaries. They take RF Javier "Hack" Ubillus out of Greater Northdale, FL. 25 yrs old, and very high contact ratings. He should be a force at the top of the lineup for the Canaries.

These are my favorite types of dynasties to read about. Small leagues, uncommon teams and places and just no relation to anything except your vision you have for the league.
I see so many people doing MLB dynasties and wonder how they can stay interested for so long. To me, I like the oddball teams and leagues no one would ever think of loading up and seeing what team wins the league in whatever year. I can't think of the word, but just very different, standing out from the main crowd type of stuff if you get where I'm going. Anyways, I hope you continue with This! Seems great so far! |

Thank you Sizeman! I sort of came up with it on a whim, and decided to go with it. Right now, I'm just interested in seeing how the league plays out and how the players perform. I have no expectations, and I like it that way.

Season 5 1916 Oakland Park Gets Revenge!
OAKLAND PARK-Oakland Park completed an amazing regular season (108-54) with a championship over 2 time defending champion St. Petersburg. St. Pete had taken down Oakland Park in the championship series last season, but the Mammoths get their first title.
Where is Oakland Park? Oakland Park is slightly north of Ft. Lauderdale. A booming baseball town with a population that prefers to be outside of the growing city of Ft. Lauderdale. The Mammoths were led by POTY Award winner Greg Miller. Miller set a record for wins in a season by finishing the season with a record of 30-6! He also sported a 1.89 ERA. Oakland Park also is the home of the league MVP. Pete Pederson hit .323 to claim the league's batting title. Other notes: The league is considering expanding within the next 3 years. Top cities that are on the list include Ocala, Key West, Naples, and Vero Beach. Greg Miller, Oakland Park |

Season 8- Four Titles for St. Pete!
ST PETERSBURG-The Parrots have won an unprecedented 4th league championship in 8 seasons. After a dominating 105-57 regular season, the Parrots dropped the Ocoee Orcas in 6 games.
Ocoee was making its 1st ever postseason appearance. Where is Ocoee? It's a suburb west of Orlando. Jody Anderson, of St. Pete, won his 1st ever POTY Award. Anderson finished with a 24-11 record and a 2.01 ERA. Anderson has always been in the conversation for the award, but finally was able to wrestle it away from Tony Gaston this season. The MVP of the league went to young LF Willie "Sooner" Topete from Ocoee. Topete, the former #1 draft pick from 1913, displayed his talents on the field to the tune of a .352 AVG (batting title), and a league record 228 hits. It was Topete's 2nd league batting title. Up next: Player and team of the decade. |

ST. PETERSBURG- Championship number 5!!! Manager Bill Muzi is putting together quite the career. He has reached "Legendary" status as manager of the Parrots, has won Manager of the Year 5 times, and doesn't look to slow down anytime soon. It is the third straight championship for Muzi and the Parrots. St. Pete knocked off Tallahassee again. Tallahassee has reached the playoffs 5 times, but has only won the championship once.
The POTY and MVP award both go to, shocker, Tony "Pumpkin" Gaston. Gaston, carving out his own legendary career has now won the POTY award 5 times, and the MVP 4 times. Season 10 1921 The Dynasty Continues

Season 11 1922 5 Straight Titles!
ST PETERSBURG-Wow! The drive for 5 was complete with a series victory over Tallahassee again!!!! It is the 7th championship for the Parrots franchise! Another amazing thing is the fact that the Parrots have only won the regular season twice! The other five have come when they have finished in 2nd place. This year was extra special as the Parrots sneaked into the playoffs on the last day of the season. Newcomers to the league, Kendall West, blew a September lead to let the Parrots into the playoffs.
Records go Down! Many records were broken this season. Especially offensively. 1. Kevin Naylor (TAL) won the batting title with a league record .378 AVG. 2. Nathan Manganella (KW) hit 40 triples! 3. Daniel "High Pockets" Andrade (CC) set the record for homers (26), RBI's (136), and total bases (372). 4. Alan Beasley (KW) scored 131 runs. 5. Tim Tugman of Orlando won 33 games! Awards: Tugman was selected POTY for the Schooners with a record of 33-19. He also was named MVP for the 1922 season. What about Tony Gaston whose name usually occupies the awards category? He finished the season 11-13, as age is becoming a factor. He is 38 years old. |
