Why Does the AI Remove a Starter After 2 Innings?

Occasionally the AI will remove a starter after two innings for no apparent reason... the pitchers involved have very good stamina.

They are designated relievers in the pitching rotation.

The starters will pitch two scoreless innings and be removed... rain delays are not present.

Could it have something to do with the setting to allow starters to be used in relief... I have it set to "No".

Would appreciate your help.

I'm having the opposite problem.

Starting pitchers(sometimes) are remaining in the game after giving up ten plus runs and there are plenty of rested reliefers in the bullpen.

If the pitcher who starts is listed as an RP then it is unlikely they would last past 2-3 innings or 50-60 pitches. RP stamina is much different than SP stamina.

You know, I see this often in my game, too.

I plan to post a thread about this and hope to get settings that will stop this from happening.

Thanks for mentioning it.

Thanks for the post... much appreciated.

Do you mean stamina ratings don't apply to MRs and Closers like they do for SPs?

I would think a reliever with an 8, 9, 10 stamina rating would be able to go 6-7 innings at least.

All the pitchers in my league have ratings 7 or higher, including relievers... I manually change their stamina ratings.

Stamina works differently for Starters v Relievers. If you mark a high stamina guy as an RP, have him throw 20 pitches one day, then check his status the next day, then change him to an SP amd check his status again, theyll be different. If you want a reliever to spot start then you have to label them as an SP.

Thanks a bunch.

That should solve my problem.
