game crash stories

curious to hear if anyone has had any game crash horror stories as it were.

I just had a game I was losing 3 to 2 and was mounting a nice come back and my best hitter comes to the plate. the game stalls then poof OOTP. EXE file not working. Had men on the corners and nobody out in the 15th inning was screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. When I reloaded the game and tried to play that game out again. It said the game was rained out. So I wasn't able to replay the game itself.
Admittedly I have had crashes that saved me from a loss. but when I reloaded ended up losing a close game instead of a horrible game and injuries went away.

forgot to mention one time I even had a no-hitter going in the 9th inning with one out and CRASH

This was in OOTP 12 or 13.......It was game 5 of the World Series, I was up 3 games to 1 and winning the game 7 to 2 in the 8th inning. I made the move to my closer and when I hit Broadcast View, *POOF* game stopped working. When I reloaded the game I forgot I had not saved my game that day and it was back in mid-July and I was 2 games back in the division.....that was the end of that game.

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bet after that you learned to save after each day or game ?? that's what I do for I used to save after each litteral day or game week.

I have lost 5 seasons because I didn't back up my game due to corruption. I would be in season 2065 right now if that had not happened

Just fyi for anyone who doesn't know, there is an auto-save function that automatically backs up the game. You can set the frequency of its doing so in your settings.

i'm at the point where i have it done weekly cuz there's nothing worse than your computer deciding it hates you and losing 3 months of the season you've just been playing.

I knew about that feature but I prefer to do it myself so I know I saved it. Used to use that feature. Doesn't help much when the game gets corrupted....
Had the corrupted thing happen to me 3 times over the various versions.
