Please explain this to me
I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the performance of players in this game. As an example, I'll use Aaron Judge. When I control the Yankees, he barely hits .200 and is generally terrible. When I control a different team, Judge leads the league in HR's and is hitting nearly .300. I've seen this time and time again, so it's not just a one time thing. I also don't understand why my good pitchers continue to get rocked while the opponent's sub standard pitchers are nearly unhittable. The entire thing tempts me to stop playing. I realize there is randomness, but this makes me wonder why even have attributes since they don't seem to matter anyway. I have Aaron Nola, Tanaka, Quintana, and Severino as my top 4 pitchers and only one of them has an ERA of under 4 (Nola is almost 7).
Maybe this is just a rant and things will balance out after a while, but I see this every time I play this game and it's frustrating. I don't expect to have a super team by any means, but when I trade for or already have good players and they continue to struggle every season and every new game, that tells me there is something broken with the game. Anyone else experiencing any of this? |

Breathe....play things out, they usually balance out to where they should be over the course of a season. However, you will certainly see some who exceed expectations and others who will not.
That's what makes the game fun. Baseball is a sport where patience is necessary. |

Do you have the latest updates installed and playing a new quickstart? Judge came out of nowhere so his ratings were tweaked as the season progressed.

The same thing seems to happen with trades. It's difficult to accept but that happens in real life too.

a few things could be in play here. How long are you simming to reach these conclusion? did you adjust any strategy or pitch counts? Are you playing out the games, if so what kind of actions are you taking?
