All I can say is...WOW !

I have purchased every version of OOTP for as long as I can remember. I pre-ordered again this year, but honestly have not paid much attention to the developments of OOTP 19. I decided today that I would take some time to see what was coming, since we are now just a few days away. WOW... I have never been so excited about a new game as this.

Now, I have been playing baseball sims for 30 years. I programmed my first one on a Commodore 64 in 1985. I've been through the Tony LaRussa and Earl Weaver series of games, and have tried virtually everything that has been created since then. (who else remembers the Earl Weaver games??).

Anyway, from what I have seen the combination of strategy, tactics, realism, and graphics are the best this genre has ever seen. This looks absolutely amazing.

This is going to be the longest three days ever.....

The only bummer is I haven’t played 18 in two weeks. It seems like a waste of time, knowing that I’m going to be starting with a clean slate next week. I feel like a kid on Christmas!

I'm just messing around with the 3-D stuff in OOTP18. I've always been a simmer myself, but maybe I'll watch a Game of the Week every week in 3-D in OOTP19. Pick out a great pitching matchup, and away we go.

How do you edit the ball parks?

Modern ballparks in 3-D come with the game. Classic historical ballparks will be available via Add-Ons Central when the game comes out (if jazzrack can handle the demand on his server). No editing necessary. Easy-peasy.

You can also create your own using SketchUp, although it's not for the faint of heart.
