Suggested 2018 Baseball Publications?
Looking to get back into baseball through OOTP 19. Didn't follow the season at all last year. I'm looking for best periodical publication to get myself back up to speed on current players and top prospects. I intend to run a MLB franchise with an initial draft. I want the pub to help me pick my players, thus learn who's great, good or garbage. Also, who are the up-n-comers. Armed with that knowledge I'll pick a real franchise and try to build a champion.
So, the options I know about are Bill James Handbook, Baseball Forecaster,The Fantasy Baseball Black Book. I'm thinking fantasy books won't help me much because my league size will be much bigger than the average fantasy league (correct me if I'm wrong). I've got the books Ahead of the Curve and Big Data to help me parse the stats, but they won't help with current year players. Do you use any annual publications when playing? If you were a rookie, which would you choose? |

Baseball Prospectus is excellent. They have an annual book and a website at www.baseballprospectus.com
