Basic noob question

I confused at the difference between "create historical game" and "create custom game" where in the custom game you choose the historical option.

If I choose to create the historical game, can I still change things? And if I do, will they revert back at the end of the season, or will they stay changed?

definitely.

in fact you'l have access to more things that you can change after a game starts than the game creation process (just a couple things, if i recall and not by rote in this moment - nothing major etiher)

all the settings from game creation can be changed after a league starts and even runs for years, if you want to

the custom option and selecting historical.. etc then you can edit things during game creation process.. or you can edit things after the wizard too by clicking advanced setup... more than one way to skin the cat is all.

if you initially start with a historic creation, then edit, it, i guess it does alot of the legwork for you if you want o mimic real history? but, pretty sure you can add historic leagues en masse in custom too? maybe some small advantages to one over the other is what i mean and only in time-savings for you...

you can come to the same product regardless of the path you take in the creation process.

as far as reverting -- most things will not...

is League Evolution turned on? *multiple options to automatically evolve over time, or tunr it off etc... if so, it will changes thigns on it's own.. if not it will not change your choices or league structure etc.

stats: if you want stats to not change with historic eras, you need to type in a year value >2017 or 2018.. just type 2051 to be safe, lol. (Stats and AI? maybe one tab left of that under LEague settings... where you can import historic year financials and stats/strategy settings.. same place.

so, import hte stats you want to use, then change that "year" value to 2051 and don't push that import button anymore...

any tweaking, simple change settings or adjust LTMs (league total modifiers).

if you want stats to follow history, enter the year you want it to follow.. this can deviate from the current league year if you want it to, or not.

after 2017/2018 it has nothign to import, so it will remain the same wihtout any "League Evolution" turned on.
