19.5.49 installs data folder in Program Files instead of My Documents

See this thread. I did a new install of version 19.5.49 on my tablet, and the data folder (with the saved_games folder and other files) went to Program Files (x86)\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 19\data\ instead of creating a folder in My Documents. Uninstalling OOTP19 and installing 19.5.49 again resulted in the same thing happening, so I had to manually create the proper My Documents folder and move the data folder and files there after the second install.

I'm not sure if this was related to the data folder being in Program Files, but with my first install of 19.5.49, my leagues created or converted with OOTP19 were not visible in the saved_games folder in Windows File Explorer, although they were visible and accessible from within OOTP19. After moving the data folder to My Documents following my second install, a created test league was visible with File Explorer.

Patching an existing OOTP19 install with 19.5.49 on my laptop had no issues. I've also never encountered this issue with any previous version of OOTP that I've installed on my tablet (dating back to OOTP16).

Had the same issue when I tried to install the latest patch on a new computer.
Tried different things like copying the files from program files to documents but the game wouldn't use it. It would still only use files from program files.
Tried making the folder for ootp in documents exactly how it looks when the game is installed properly but the 19.5.49 would just install everything into program files.
In administrator mode and file permissions set up.

I now have the game working properly.

Uninstalled ootp to start fresh then I downloaded the patch 19.4.45 and it properly installed everything like it has before. I then downloaded the latest patch and it's still looking good with everything still in the proper places.
Copied my saved league and everything looks good.

There's a simple enough solution, but it might be too obvious - did either of you do a custom install?

Unless installing to the default folder, saved games are placed in the install directory.

I did the default install both times, just as I've done with past versions. This is the first time the data folder went somewhere other than My Documents.

I also have this issue with the Steam install and Linux.

Do not have the ability to go back to a version before .49, so the game's root "data" directory is now my "custdata" directory.

I'm not sure of how it works on Windows, but all previous versions created a "custdata" directory inside the same directory that held the game config files. In my case ~/.Out of the Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 19/custdata

.49 is now creating this directory on top of the game install's root "data" folder.

EDIT: If there is a "custdata" created, the game will use it and install as before, the game just does not want to create the directory if it doesn't exist.
