seeking help on how to play a hybrid

ive been playing replays and trying seasons where i have "Use real lineups and transactions" both on and off. But here what I want to do:

I want to play a season where I take over a team, and where i get the real players they drafted in each draft, but I dont want the AI to make all the trades or cuts/waives they made in real life. So how can I do that?

If I play with "transactions" on, I get the drafted players, but then the AI executes the trades and waives or cuts. The only thing I can think of is to then just undo the trade and moves the players back the next day. While I can manage that for my team, I cant follow it for the rest of the league.

If I play with it off, then I dont have to worry about the trades and cuts/waives, but the draft ends up being all these prospects who are rated by their real life careers and so in most cases these players are not drafted by the teams where they played.

Any ideas?

I think you can just set up a league with both the draft and historical transactions disabled. With no draft, players just get automatically assigned to their appropriate teams.

Ah...very interesting. Didn't even realize that turning the draft off was an option. Do you know where that feature of turning draft on/off is?

Turning off the draft is under Rules
Without the draft and checking import historical rookies it'll place them on their teams or as FA's if that team ID isn't in you game.
