Dugout Wizards (70s historical league) has 1 opening

Dugout Wizards has reached the 1976-77 offseason and with the expansion draft looming, has one opening to fill.

The California Angels are available. This is a quality team that has dominated the AL West, winning the division every year but one since divisional play started in 1969 (they also won the WS that year).The farm system is talented as is the big league club - this is an organization that was well-run by the former GM who is moving over to run the expansion Mariners.

The team is probably at a crossroads and is a good candidate for a retool, a rebuild or riding it out as the talent is definitely there to remain a strong contender, though both the A's and Rangers are providing good competition of late.

Dugout Wizards has completed 13 seasons since starting with the 1964 campaign.

Sims cover one week of the season and are run weekday mornings, typically around 8 am ET.

We try to stay as close to historical rules as we can within OOTP's framework. This offseason is our first with free agency. That coupled with expansion make this a very exciting time to get involved.

The majority of the original GMs remain in place and we have a very solid core of guys. You don't need to be an online league vet, this is an open and friendly group and we welcome anyone who wants to get in on the fun and be an addition to the league. We use Slack as our primary means of communication and have a forum that is mainly used for trade posts as a historical record.

I pretty much only participate in legendsport's leagues these days. This is an extremely well run and fun league.

I'm currently GM of the '69 expansion Montreal Expos. We just had our first winning season in 1976 and are ready to be relevant!

I'm with the previous poster, only legendsport leagues.

This is a very strong league, that doesn't have many openings. We've done a little reshuffle here with the 1977 expansion.

Joe runs great leagues, with excellent communication and consistency.

Angels have been filled and the Mariners aren't open, but the Twins are, if you're interested.There was another guy who asked about the Angels too (via PM), so hopefully one of you will be able to take the Twins.

How do rookies enter the league? is there a yearly draft or do they appear on the right team?
How are the minors handled
Are the logos jerses ballparkd and player pics correct?

Rookies are drafted. We have a special draft for international rookies (those who were not in the MLB draft in real draft) using a lottery and 1 round draft with anyone remaining just becoming a free agent.

We have full minors and they are historical based, so affiliations change based on history.

Jerseys, logos, etc are all historical as well.

The league is currently full - I do have some openings in my other league though which runs almost exactly the same way but is set in the 1930s - that thread is here
