So I set up a 64 team tourney.. every round best of 7...World Series champs from 2017 to 1953 plus the '94 Expos. DH on. I was shocked to see the Mets take it all. 5 Yankees teams made the Round of 16 with only the 98 team advancing to lose in the Round of 8.

Final 4 were the '86 Mets, '75 Reds, '70 Orioles and the '74 A's

In order the Mets took down:
'58 Yankees 4-3
'92 Jays 4-3
'08 Phillies 4-0
'76 Reds 4-1
'75 Reds 4-3
'70 O's 4-0 (Beat Palmer twice)

Never saw that coming.

As a terrible announcer said once (or a billion times, "You can't predict baseball, Suzyn". :P

That was a fantastic ballclub though, and they could/should have won more than they did, especially in 88.

should look up a youtube post of some old chappalle show skits with rick james... helluva drug....
