Short question :

Under "Player strategy".......

What is the difference between "Adjust to Team Strategy Settings" and "Override Team Strategy Setttings" ?

I see no difference currently.

There are settings in the Player Strategy tab that you can set for only that player. Steal Aggression, Hit and Run, Pitch Counts etc. Override means those settings control the player. Team Strategies means the player is governed by the overall team philosophy.
It gives you more detailed control of how the player is used.

Unfortunately no.....hoping that they will revisit and enhance Spring Training in a future version.

Please explain how to pick a team and start a season. Menu has various game start icons, no season start option.

Just start in one of the icons and I think the first thing it does is ask you to name the league and then follow the menus, eventually the game will ask you to select a team.

Question...

I'm the kind of person who likes to be the gm in say fhm2 or ehm or FM where im the manager and just manage stuff and then i like to sit back and watch the coaches coach and not me having to press any buttons to make coach changes and such? does ootp 17 offer that where i can just watch my team player or do i have to click them to swing and such?

I search for nearly 2 hours to find a mod for historical photos but without success. Where can i find such a mod if such a mod exists, please ?

you need to add the Mods server. It's not included with the game for some reason. instructions are here:

there are two photo packs for players ..... i use the complete historical and modern one myself.

once you get the server loaded, more add-ons will appear. click the face pac you want and download it. (The game will put it in the correct location to work.) then the game will tell you to install the download .... just click on the install line .... and they'll be ready for you. you may need to change setting or two if you don't have the game set up to get pics auto. Thats under Game settings - players and face gen. good luck.

Thanks for your help. but your tutorial is for OOTP16, right ? I have OOTP17 (Steam). There is not such a thing like Add-On-Central.

don't have steam, but i read somewhere there was an all in one mod or something like that .... think Add-os central is called workshop central in Steam, but i could be wrong .... i found this link ... MAYBe it can help ... dunno ... hope so ...

Since I couldn't find thread solely dedicated to player development I'm asking here.

How much time do you give to your young SP to develop stamina before you say that's it, you are never gonna be SP, you are going to be my RP? What are the chances he might develop stamina from let's say 9-10 to 14-15 (I'm using 1-20 scale)?
I know you are suppose to give 100+ IP to young SP in each minor league level and concentrate on stats that they can influence, like WHIP, HR/9, BB/9 and K/9.
Is numbers of IP related to development of stamina?

Let's say I wanna build a league that has relegation and using the Japanese default league as a template but add lower leagues and whatnot. How do I carry on with doing this? I can't seem to find an option in creating a game that makes me do this.

This is my first year playing OOTB. I'm really enjoying the game. Is it possible to manage two teams and it is possible to turn off trades or only have the trades that really happen in MLB occur in the game? I'm not sure if I would have to make all the trades or the rosters can be updated with the trades that happen in MLB? Thank You!
