Consistent sims after Total / PCM adjustments
Any chance that either the AI and or Creation/Aging algorithms have been updated to allow for more consistent league totals after adjusting league totals and/or PCMs.
While I enjoy the time, I find I spend more time adjusting and readjusting League Totals and PCMs to recreate a 1980s / early 1990s baseball universe, only to find when I sim 20 years ahead in history, the league statistical totals from the first year to the 20th year are fairly far apart (in my opinion). The select year option does not really work, so I've spent the last few versions tinkering around to get the 80s environment I enjoy statistically. What I am seeing with the last version of 20 is that BBs decrease between 15-20% 20 years after creation, batting averages typically decreasing 5% with an uptick in K's (probably causing BA drop) and HRs. I'm guessing some of this is attributable to the AI favoring certain types of players or the aging algorithms being slightly wonky. I typically throw in the towel after 20-25 sims to find the right Total Modifiers / PCMs and play from there, but the universe is usually just slightly off enough to bother me. As an example, over the past few days I ran about 10 single year sims to see if I could get a base statistical total to work from for version 21. Ran 3 different 20 year sims (slight adjustments to certain modifiers for each) after I had the initial year close to what I wanted. Still seeing the issue where 20 years later the totals are not what they were in initial years. I know, it's a long shot, but just wondering if this issue has been addressed at all. |

Are you checking "Automatically adjust league totals modifiers for accuracy"? That will adjust the current seasons player ratings to the stats output to get you your accurate totals.
Otherwise, the stat outputs are going to fluctuate based on player rating fluctuations. |

Is your suggestion to click that after I have adjusted all of the modifiers, or to just adjust the league totals and click the button?
The latter option does not appear to work. Fictional 30-team modern, starting 2019 with button clicked and season totals adjusted to what I like. See images. Generally, I like today's league structure but with 80s /90s stats - less HRs, more SBs, less Ks. As I said I can get to something close, what irks me is that the engine as is seems to push stats towards less BB, more HR, more Ks as time goes on. I don't need the same totals every year, I'm fine with variations between seasons and even sims as long as after a longer period of time (20 - 25 years) the totals are close to what they were the first year. Just doesn't seem to work that way. |

I believe it will make the adjustment on Opening Day. Alternatively, you can go in during the pre-season yourself each season and click the button to adjust the totals.
