settings for historical lineups/transactions

Finally trying to do a franchise with historical lineups and settings.
Using 1974 Angels.

6 days in an notice that the lineups are not exactly accurate. Ie Dave Schalk is still in minors, and lineups havent really changed.

Is there another setting I need to change? ie ( give total control in Manager Settings to AI)

Also..for future use does it matter what year(s) you can use for this.

Did Dave Chalk ever start for the Angels during those first 6 games in 1974? OOTP will provide the correct starting lineups/starting pitcher for each game, but it won't provide the actual 25 man roster. So if a guy like Chalk didn't start a game, the AI might keep him in the minors and award his roster spot to another player. Then when he starts a game, the AI will promote him. Same goes for the pitching staff. You will get the correct starting pitcher for each game, but the make up of the pitching staff might not match real life. As far as I know you can use this for every season from 1901 on,

Baseball Reference has Chalk in the starting lineup until June 11th or so. Batting in various spots.
My playthrough has him in the minors and a guy named Mike Miley playing SS ( he didnt play in majors until July 1975)

Otherwise it seems pretty accurate. Simmed a few games and noticed it plugged Joe Lahoud into the 3 spot just like History, which is very cool.
Is also using the correct starter..

Looks like you found a bug in regards to Chalk.

I just imported the 1974 season and simmed it using real lineups & transactions. No problems with Chalk. No Mike Miley. NOTE: I did not enable real minor leagues.

Ok thanks. Maybe I will re-try, its early ( although Ryan has two 15 K games to start year). I did enable real minors. Could just be a glitch.
Does historical lineups work for all years? Or just past a certain year.

Historical lineups work for all seasons beginning in 1901.

I tried it again but this time I enabled real minor leagues. Still no problem with Chalk. I wonder if you chose a setting you should've left alone. Maybe?

Can you check one thing for me? Go to Chalk's profile page. Click on the History tab. Does it show any kind of transaction? Was he released by the team perhaps?

I dont see any transactions. Maybe just a glitch. I just started up a new one, same conditions, and now he is on roster.
Maybe I messed with something the first time. Lineup after Spring was both the same. When I had AI set lineups, still the same ( oddly both didnt contain Chalk) but this time he is on opening day lineup.

Cool feature though. Very odd though, not being able to move players around, pick up players, etc. Plus active roster is 29/25
