Oakland A's 30 seasons
Hello!
First post here in the forums. Was listening to the OOTP podcast and they were talking about how great the community is so after years of playing the game I have decided to join in a little. Will join a online league in the next few days and see how those go. I work at a high school and we got some time off recently so I started a 2020 season with the Oakland A's. Played on challenge mode and did not change any of the default settings. Here is a little of what happened! |

I had two players that I gave complete loyalty. They got old and were over priced but I tried to give them playing time and keep them around to break Oakland records.
A speedy CF Javy "Jetsam" Medina got to start as a 19 year old leadoff hitter. At 36 I offered him a 3 year deal but he left for LA only to be cut the next season. I signed him to a minor league deal with the hope of him being a 4th OF but he got hurt in the spring and it ended his career. He did make the HOF. The other was 3B Herbiberto Valdiviezo. Herby was a Sept call up 5 star prospect that never gave up the position. As of the writing he is still starting at 3B at 35 years young, though not too well. They have broke most of the Oakland A's hitting records. |

Hey there,
First off welcome! Glad you are enjoying the game and look forward to posts of your future endeavors. There are a lot of great online leagues, be patient when looking for some as some of the best do not have openings very often. I'd suggest for your next league steering clear of challenge mode. There are many ways to break challenge mode leagues and you will not be able to fix most of them due to lack of access to settings. You can easily make a non-challenge mode league with the same settings and enjoy the same fun you are having now. There were previously some web benefits and a cool signature you could get from Challenge Mode, but currently, the only working benefit is an occasional free pack for Perfect Team. Mode has seemed abandoned with this release for the most part so you're probably stuck if you run into an issue. Good luck, have fun, and keep posting!
