Right Field

Whom to play in RF?

Player A
Rating RF 61
Outfield Range 58
Outfield Error 96
Outfield Arm 56

Player B
Rating RF 65
Outfield Range 59
Outfield Error 56
Outfield Arm 78

I tend to go with the better arm (player B), albeit resulting in more errors. Thoughts?

You are better off with the best offensive player. They could be all 100 rating in defense but if they can't hit then it doesn't matter for the corner OF positions.

B is, probably, the better defensive player.
Error isn't that important. Look at the most errors an OFer has in a season. The difference between the best and worst won't be very many plays. A lot more opportunities for the arm to make a difference

I have the DH spot open.
So I might put the better arm in RF, and the better offensive player at DH.

Do you have any defensive history for these players?

What's their UZR and innings the last few seasons?
And errors?

Player A is new.
Can't find UZR stat.
Never mind. The better arm is the far better runner too.

If you only have 1 slot open then player A in RF. If you have rf and dh open it doesn't really matter. Their defense is pretty close to each other.
