Signed NCAA player, can't send to AHL
I have a player whose rights I owned and I signed him out of the NCAA. Now when I want to send him down to my AHL team, I only have the option to assign him to the WHL team that owns his rights. The game date is 2 July 2020 and his birth date is 9 May 2001, so he won't turn 20 until the off-season.
I thought that if I signed him out of college, I could send him to the AHL. Is that how it's supposed to work or is this a bug? |

Which player was it? I think I know what's causing this, but I'd like to check his data to make sure it isn't something else.

Any luck with this yet? I tried monkeying with the players' rights in Commissioner Mode, but wasn't able to get past this.
If there isn't a workaround and it's going to be a while, I can go back to an earlier save and get some free agents for a year instead of signing these guys. I just have to re-do the draft which should be OK. Last edited by Akaitatsu; 05-20-2020 at 09:23 AM. |

I just experienced the same problem with Alex Vlasic.
Signed him out of college. Now the only option is to send him back to juniors. |
