Favourite type of Save
When choosing a team to start with how do you like to play do you like building through the farm like a 5-10 year project or do you like to win straight away for me personally I used to like winning straight away but now I feel i get more out of the game if I build my own WS winning squad rather than take on a squad thats ready made like the Dodgers or the Yankees (even as a Yankees fan)

First, I usually fix the Giants and win a couple of WS with them. Then I move on to a fictional save and take charge of a random team and see how far it goes.

Yeah, I like playing fictional because world building is fun, and there’s no pressure like real-world saves.

Ha! That’s what I thought when I first saw the title. 3Ks on 9 pitches would be immaculate.

Starter goes 5 innings
Piggybacker goes 4 innings for the save But, it depends I usually like fictional universes where I can experiment with different ways to use rosters I rarely get into historical, but I'm way into my historical save right now Thinking about doing a historical expansion for the first time And the ever popular, take your favorite team and play them into the future Last edited by CBeisbol; 09-02-2020 at 10:04 AM. |

I always start a new save with the Cardinals each version and then go with an expansion team to build them up.

In all seriousness, my favorite save is this fictional game I whipped up in 2012.
You can read about it. Be warned though. Train wreck in progress.

My next game is going to be the same as my current one: start in 1951 and see if Aaron or Mays can hit 715.

Personally I find it too easy to win and Im pretty sure every Franchise I have played, be it expansion (won with Col in year 2), young team (won back to back with Jays 2020.2021), dismantle/rebuild, regular team, I have won the WS.
Thank being said, I almost always take an expansion team or a rebuild. For me, its zero fun winning right away. When I won with the 2020 Jays I played like a rebuild-trades Giles, Grichuk, any veteran). Didnt really bring in any player of note. Was fairly medicore all year, then went like 25-5 in September. Actually felt guilty for winning. |
