broke 200 RBIs AMAZING!!!!

i have seen in the past where people on here have seen players reach 199 RBIs but never breaking it. Actually had a player on my team hit 70 HRs and 220 RBIs In the interest of transparancy the league lowered the pitching mound after the 2031 season. Picture is attached

That's a lot of runs batted in

The info about the mound is important

A 169 wRC+ is, in 2020, about the 300th greatest offensive season.

Curious what the league runs per game is
And the OBP's of the players hitting in front of Boynton

OPS of 1.110 and an OPS+ of 169 means that is a great run scoring environment.
But that is still impressive.

And Luke Boynton is a real player. I never realized the rosters go that deep into the NCAA level.

1950 Cardinals

In a fictional historical sim, Bill Howerton drove in 200+. I think it's under Historical Sims, 'New Game 17'/Let's Go on the board, shows Musial with 167 RBI & Howertown with 187 or so with 20+ games left.

The first 5 batters in their order were just in the zone all season...

Glaviano Slaughter Howerton Musial Schoendiest..

I actually knew Bill Howerton. He coached the baseball team at the university I work at and ran the local sporting goods store for a long time before he passed away in 2001. He would've gotten a kick out of this.

Really?...I hadn't heard his name before doing this simulation. Here are his final stats and the Cardinals full primary lineup from the season.

Not sure what that partial season is...I remember starting fresh and they have 11 years in between where it seems he aged & everything. I think it was a 24 team league of random historic teams.

Those are crazy numbers! I think Bill played about 150 career games at the MLB level in his career. He could teach hitting, that's for sure. His teams always hit really well.

Yeah, they are...I've never seen a top 5 in an batting order like that inside or outside of OOTP sims.

Turns out it was 20 teams & 7 players winded up with 150+ RBI:

Bill Howerton, Sam Mertes ('03 NYG), Ryne Sandberg ('92 Cubs), Stan Musial, Nick Etten ('45 NYY), Bill Robinson ('77 PIT), & George Browne ('03 NYG).

The only really weak team among the 20 was the 1875 Washington Nationals (6-156);;woof. The other teams that lost more than 95 were the 1901 Baltimore Orioles, the 1894 Chicago Colts and the 1901 St. Louis Cardinals.

The only real aberrations in pitching & defense to feast on were the 1901 Orioles (1051 runs allowed) and the 1875 Washington Nationals (1717 runs allowed), though...every other defense was reasonably competitive.

(Both were in the same sub-league as the 1950 Cardinals but neither in their division.)

Diering and Marion had better have provided great defence up the middle because, offensively, they were obviously just passengers.
Bums!
LOL
