Entry Draft Being Skipped

I've had this issue a few times suddenly I realize it's deep into the summer and the Entry Draft just... didn't happen.

Is there something that might cause this?

We have had two people report this previously and have not uploaded the save, so we have not been able to find a cause.

Upload the Save.

Instructions for uploading to our ftp site are in this thread, or you can put it on a file sharing site like dropbox or google drive and send me the link at jeff@ootpdevelopments.com.

Thanks, got it. Very unusual, everything appears perfectly normal at first glance, the draft just seems to have disappeared. We'll have to dig into this a little further to see exactly what happened there.

Well, this one has us stumped. There's no apparent reason for it to happen, and we can't replicate it at all. The good news is, you can revert back to the previous rolling save (copy the files in the rs_one folder to the main folder in the save, overwriting the ones that are there) and the entry draft will happen properly. We tried that several times in an effort to get the missing draft to happen again, but it always seems to work fine.

It happened to me before in a totally different save, but I don't recall which one. If it happens again, I will send it along to you.

Is there a folder in the save named random_debut_qs, with a players.dat file inside of it? If so, please send me that file, it may tell us what's gone wrong there.

I have the same issue.
Is there a solution for it through configuration or a bug?

If you can upload the save, we can have a look at it and try to see what's happened. I don't think we ever had any success in replicating this.

I think you missed a few files there, everything alphabetically after teams.dat is missing. Can you try that again?

I get a normal draft on June 22, what's happening when you try it?

Im on june 24th.
Playing my second save where this happens.

As you can see from the pic1 the date is the 24th and the draft is passed.
The future list still holds all the prospects for draft 2020.
Alex Lafreniere who I used as an example is not drafted
The draft log is empty.

For me nothing happens and it goes straight to Free agency.

Strange, I've tried it a number of times now and I'm always getting the draft. Could you upload the June 24 version of the save? I'd like to compare that with the earlier one and see if that tells us anything about what's going wrong.

Thanks, having a before and after may let us see what's going/gone wrong. But it looks like you should still be able to continue this game - I ran it around to the next draft from the June 24 save, and that one occurs normally (albeit with an extremely strong draft class, since all the 2020 guys are in it as well.)
