Where were the adults?

I'm watching this clip from a football brawl that ended up suspending 39 players from an unbeaten team. I understand the suspensions. You can't say there is a justification for 80 armored youth rushing simultaneously into battle. But this is where the refs need to be suspended as well. Change that. Fired. Banished.

Look @ the clip. What is the ref doing? This scaredy cat coward never steps in between the teams to keep this incident from blowing up. The team in black was definitely in the wrong. Player rips off one helmet, rips off a 2nd helmet. A third in white comes in and is dragging his 2 teammates away. Still refuse to throw hands. A 2nd player in black rushes in & bulldozes one of the players, tosses another, & the brawl is on. And meanwhile the ref is just watching.

I believe the coach when he says the game was mismanaged. Just looking at the zebra, you can see he doesn't have a proactive bone in his body. It is not hard to imagine he was taking a cue from the entire crew. They allowed things to escalate & BAM! IDK what you tell the team in white's players. "Turn the other cheek, let yourself be assaulted, and the adults will still punish you like you threw the 1st punch." That's bull crap.

Gainesville sued to block Ga HS's ruling. Ath Assoc appealing. Next playoff game postponed.
