Can I now do this?

I'm wanting to start in the 78-79 season.. at the end when 4 teams are scheduled to merge with nhl.. I'm wanting to merge all 6 wha teams with the nhl.. and keep the rosters for them instead of having teams protect 3 and have a draft.. then.. I want the league to evolve as normal.. can I now do this with FHM 7?

The easiest way to do that would be to leave league disappearance on, so the WHA does expire, but NHL team changes off so you don't get forced into using the historical expansion and draft at the beginning of 1979-80. Then, on July 1, 1979, create the 6 WHA teams in the NHL, don't create an expansion draft, and edit their WHA players to them. After finishing that, turn NHL team changes back on so you get the future team changes (expansion, Colorado-New Jersey move, etc.)

thank you - the problem i run into in general is if you like playing earlier years and subsequently want to apply your 'dream scenario' with each sim, you have to do your suggestion each time.

the only quick start save you could really do is after the last step.

is there a way to 'APPLY' your scenario?
I realize this like involves programing changes, where as you would need to create a way to save a 'scenrio settings' and call it when you want it. tricky.....

To chime in on this, I would like to do a 1980-1981 historical league, but change the geographical alignment like it was from 81-82 on. Is this possible to edit before the season begins? I don't think we could last year as the season started in september.

Can we simply move entire teams from one league to another?

Yes, you can do that, just choose the July 1 start option.

That would be something that I wish was in since at least two iterations
Hopefully it'll be possible in the future
